2. Power System

The PC400-8 is equipped with a Komatsu independently developed SAA6D125E-5 6-cylinder, 4-stroke, turbocharged & intercooled diesel engine, which meets EPA Tier 3 and EU Stage IIIA emission standards:

Adopts a high-pressure common rail fuel injection system, which precisely controls fuel supply to reduce combustion loss. Its comprehensive fuel consumption is 10-15% lower than competing models of the same class, with a comprehensive working condition fuel consumption of 28-38 L/h.
Equipped with 2 selectable working modes: Power (P) mode for heavy-load high-efficiency operation, Economy (E) mode for light-load energy-saving operation.
Built-in auto idle and idle shutdown functions: the engine automatically drops to idle speed when there is no operation for 4 seconds, and automatically shuts down after long-time idle to reduce unnecessary fuel waste.
Equipped with a fuel-water separator with water level alarm and 3-stage fuel filtration system, which effectively adapts to low-quality fuel in construction sites and reduces engine failure rate.

3. Hydraulic System

It adopts Komatsu's proprietary CLSS (Closed-center Load Sensing System) hydraulic system, with excellent operation precision and response speed:
