The self-developed SAA6D125E-3 engine is matched with Komatsu’s proprietary electronic fuel injection system, which delivers strong power output while reducing fuel consumption by up to 10% compared with the previous generation PC400-6 under the same working conditions. It is equipped with two selectable working modes: Power (P) mode for heavy-load mining and quarry operations, and Economy (E) mode for light earthwork, balancing power demand and fuel cost.

2.2 Precise Hydraulic System

Adopts a closed-center load sensing system (CLSS), which provides fast response, precise operation and smooth compound actions (such as simultaneous digging, swinging and lifting), greatly improving operation efficiency. The optimized hydraulic pipeline design reduces pressure loss, further lowering energy consumption.

2.3 Heavy-Duty Structural Design

The boom, arm, main frame and track frame are all welded with high-strength wear-resistant steel, and have passed 10,000+ hours of fatigue tests, adapting to long-term impact loads in mining and rock operations. The high-manganese steel track shoes, sealed and lubricated track rollers and idlers greatly extend the service life of the chassis system, reducing maintenance frequency.

The cab is ROPS (Roll Over Protective Structure) and FOPS (Falling Object Protective Structure) certified, effectively protecting the safety of operators in extreme working conditions.
The sealed and pressurized cab isolates dust and noise, with internal noise controlled at only 75 dB(A). It is equipped with a multi-adjustable air suspension seat, ergonomic pilot control joysticks with low operating force, and a high-power automatic air conditioner, reducing fatigue during long-term operation.
The multi-function LCD monitor displays real-time equipment status, fault codes and maintenance reminders, helping operators grasp equipment performance at any time. Standard configurations such as travel alarm, swing alarm and emergency stop button further improve operation safety.

All daily maintenance points (oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, hydraulic oil drain port, etc.) are designed to be accessible from the ground, greatly reducing maintenance difficulty and time cost.
Extended maintenance intervals: engine oil replacement every 500 operating hours, hydraulic oil replacement every 4,000 hours (using Komatsu special long-life hydraulic oil).
Equipped with Komatsu’s KOMTRAX remote monitoring system as standard (for later production models), which supports remote positioning, operating hour statistics, fuel consumption monitoring and fault early warning, convenient for fleet management.
With normal maintenance, the overhaul interval of the whole machine can reach 15,000 – 20,000 hours, and the residual value of second-hand equipment is far higher than similar products in the market.
